VERITÀ CDL TRAINING PROGRAM

 

Verità Telecommunications Corporation (Verità) encourages the growth and enhancement of all our employees. Therefore, Verità has employed a certified commercial driver license (CDL) instructor and offers a CDL Training Program for those employees who wish to obtain the skills required to qualify for a CDL.

 

Completing the CDL Training Program does not guarantee the issuance of a CDL license; however, each employee will receive the training, observation, and required testing to qualify for the CDL application.  Once qualified, each employee must pass their respective State’s written test, and meet all necessary legal, physical, and medical qualifications required by the DOT and State they are applying in.  

 

To qualify for the Verità CDL Training Program, each employee must first:

 

• Obtain the required and applicable Commercial Driver Learners Permit from the State they are licensed in.

• Pass the DOT drug and alcohol test.

 

The Verità CDL Training Program is structured as follows:

 

Step 1: Complete the online ELDT certification course.

“Individuals who obtain a commercial learner’s permit (CLP) on or after February 7, 2022, will need to complete this course before they will be permitted to take their CDL skills or knowledge test.”

 

Step 2: Complete all necessary classroom training.

Step 3: Complete all necessary behind the wheel training.

Step 4: Demonstrate to the trainer’s satisfaction the ability to:

• Inspect the commercial vehicle.

• Prepare the commercial vehicle.

• Start the commercial vehicle.

• Drive the commercial vehicle.

• Back up the commercial vehicle.

• Park the commercial vehicle.

 

Step 5: Pass the required drivers road test.

 

Upon completion of all 5 steps of the Verità CDL Training Program, the certified instructor will complete all necessary paperwork required for each employee to schedule and take the written State test.  The employee is responsible to schedule and take the written test within the State they are licensed.

As previously mentioned, Verità encourages the growth and enhancement of all our employees.  Therefore, Verità will underwrite the cost of the CDL Training Program, subject to the provisions of the Cost Reimbursement Schedule below, in support of each employee’s application to obtain a CDL.

 

Each employee enrolled in the CDL Training Program, and Verità, agree to the following:

 

1. Verità will incur the cost of the CDL Training Program to train each employee in the skills required to qualify for a CDL.

2. Upon completion of the CDL Training Program, Verità will pay for all costs associated with each employee applying for and being granted a CDL.

3. During the duration of the CDL Training Program, each Employee will be paid his agreed rate of pay and will qualify for all benefits that applied to his employment prior to commencing the CDL Training Program.

 

Cost for the Verita CDL Training Program

 

The final cost of the CDL Training Program will vary depending on each employee’s level of experience and qualifications. The cost of the CDL Training Program will be paid in its entirety by Verità subject to the provisions of the Cost Reimbursement Schedule below.  

 

Each employee acknowledges both the cost incurred by Verità in developing and implementing the Training Program, and the increase in each employee’s market value after obtaining a CDL.  Therefore, each employee hereby agrees to the following:

1. Each employee commits to remain in the employment of Verità for 18-months, commencing with the date that they are awarded a CDL (the “Qualification Period”).

2. If an employee voluntarily ends their employment with Verità or is terminated for cause, prior to the end of the Qualification Period, the employee will reimburse Verità based on the following payment schedule:
